Alejandro and Víctor Hernández, vocals, synthesizers, tambourines and castanets
Programme
In an exquisite exercise of uniting future and atavistic roots, Maestro Espada builds their musical amalgam rich in contrasts and experimentation. Their creation combines popular songs and lyrics from the vegetable gardens of Murcia with home-grown verses, and traditional instruments such as castanets, tambourines, and lutes with electronica and analogue synthesizers.
With their first releases, ‘Estrellica’ and ‘Murciana’, they captivated national and international audiences. A project as exciting as it is wild, with which brothers Alejandro and Víctor Hernández redefine folklore and give the local accent a new dimension, fleeing from the canons of orthodoxy.
