The jazz supergroup made up of pianist Marco Mezquida, saxophonist Ernesto Aurignac and drummer Ramon Prats is, without any doubt, one of the most interesting formations on the state jazz scene.

In his first titled work M·A·P (2016), the trio showed how deep and unconditional listening becomes a very powerful tool in the creative process. A MAP & Symphonic Band, MAP joins the Banda Municipal de Barcelona to give a new dimension to its repertoire. Through the arrangements of Ernesto Aurignac, the music of the trio travels to new sound universes bathed in symphonic sounds, colored by the intensity of the big band and filled with popular aromas. In this new context, the three MAP musicians will be forced to redefine the relationships they establish on stage and adapt to a large ensemble with which they will explore new timbral and textural dimensions.
