The Barragán, Soltani, Floristán Trio, who represent a new generation of fully consolidated ‎musicians, will perform in L’Auditori’s Chamber Music season. The Barragán, Soltani, Floristán Trio, who represent a new generation of fully consolidated ‎musicians, will perform in L’Auditori’s Chamber Music season. The trio is formed by ‎clarinettist Pablo Barragán, winner of the Prix Credit Suisse Jeunes Solistes in 2013, cellist Kian ‎Soltani, and Juan Pérez Floristán, winner of the 2015 Paloma O’Shea International Piano ‎Competition.‎
In their concert at L’Auditori, they will show different approaches to an ensemble with great ‎timbric richness. Trio in B flat major, op. 11, is an early work in which Ludwig van Beethoven, ‎free of tensions, makes the three instruments dialogue playfully. Johannes Brahms, on the ‎other hand, was already an experienced composer when he wrote Trio in A minor, op. 114, ‎which reflects his particular sensitivity in terms of finding the best timbric combination. From ‎the perspective of sound in the 21st century, clarinettist and composer Jörg Widmann also ‎offers a meticulous timbric performance of Nachtstück, a sinister, and even violent, work.‎
