The sea, with its powerful presence, has awakened in man feelings such as longing, desire, sadness… In this context, havaneras, sardanas and polkas were forged in the taverns and travelled everywhere, singing the tribulations and merriment of the sailors with rum as a companion. “Prop del mar” is a trip around these cavern songs through a game between the instruments and the voices of multifaceted singer Nina and the group Port Bo with 14 records brought out and over 160 songs, on a trip through countries such as Cuba, France, Holland, Germany and Switzerland. Together they will unfold songs such as “El llop de mar”, “La gavina” and “Mariner de terra endins” to embark us on a new musical adventure overseas.
