Flamenco singer Alba Molina pays tribute to her parents, accompanied by Joselito Acedo

This Thursday, singer Alba Molina will be performing in Sala 3, Tete Montoliu at L’Auditori de Barcelona, accompanied by guitarist Joselito Acedo in a tribute to her parents, Lole and Manuel, who revolutionised the 1970s flamenco scene.

Dialogue between past and present is a widely used creative mechanism. When this dialogue involves a mother, a father and a daughter, the resulting emotional impact will leave no one indifferent.

This is the case of Para Lole y Manuel (For Lole and Manuel), a concert that flamenco singer Alba Molina dedicated to her parents, recorded live in 2019. Accompanied solely by Joselito Acedo on guitar, Alba Molina explores the invaluable legacies of Lole and Manual, who brought new innovations to flamenco singing in the 1970s and 80s through sounds more usually associated with the worlds of rock or psychedelia, in an intimate, sincere concert.

The concert is one of the L’Auditori de Barcelona’s Sessions, where jazz and flamenco join forces in renewed style, interacting with other languages.
