Would you like to sing at L'Auditori with the Orquestra Simfònica de Barcelona i Nacional de Catalunya? Sing with the OBC is back! The participatory project in which non-professional singers can go on stage to sing with the Orchestra.
On this occasion, we are looking for 150 voices to interpret three pieces for mixed choir and orchestra specially commissioned to Albert Guinovart, with lyrics from poems by Giacomo Leopardi, under the baton of Jordi Francés and with the choral direction of Elisenda Carrasco. Fifty members of the Cor Canta, which emerged from the first edition of Canta con la OBC, will participate to give vocal support to the chosen group.
The concerts will take place on Friday 12 and Saturday 13 May during the Prokofiev 7 program. There will be six rehearsals at the Orfeó Martinenc and three at L'Auditori before the exhibition.
This activity completely free. Between all the inscriptions, 150 voices will be chosen in order to form the choir.
· To participate, you must be of legal age.
· It is mandatory to attend five of the six rehearsals held at l'Orfeó Martinenc and all three at L'Auditori.
Prior to the first rehearsal, the voice and piano score and the recordings of the voices will be sent to the participants, that will have to attend the first day with the score studied.
· It is necessary to have a minimum musical training and know how to read sheet music.
· Among the people who meet the minimum requirements to participate, there will be a raffle. Those who do not enter will remain on the waiting list to cover possible casualties.
