Following the great success of last weekend’s performance of Händel’s Messiah by the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra, which attracted over 5,000 spectators, the great musical theatre concert Christmas on Broadway with the OBC, which will be held on 20 and 21 December, will bring together Laura Osnes and Paulo Szot, two of the most acclaimed voices on the international scene.
Once again, L’Auditori welcomes the Christmas season by plunging into the magic of musicals. The OBC dons its best finery to become a great Broadway orchestra and accompany the most intense emotions of musical theatre and the catchiest tunes of all time.
Excerpts from Les Misérables, My Fair Lady, Carousel and South Pacific, among others, will be conducted by Alfonso Casado, the young London-based conductor from Seville. We will once again be moved by his rendition of essential titles from the most popular genre to match the hits already performed by him with the OBC, including works by Rodgers and Hammerstein (2015), Lloyd Webber (2017) and Bernstein (2018).
