pROGRAMME
It is just as important to know which road you want to travel as it is to find your travel companions. For his first professional steps, trumpet player Òscar Latorre has stuck with the partners of a year-long journey with some of the most renowned jazzmen in the world. His experience as one of the chosen ones for a nine-piece ensemble for Focusyear (a programme of the Basel Academy of Music where he worked with titans such as Kurt Rosenwinkel and Jorge Rossy) was the starting point to release the album A Pathway to Become with two of his fellow ensemble members, vibraphonist Jean-Lou Treboux and double bass player Sebastián de Urquiza. They are joined by the ever-inquisitive Jordi Pallarés to create a proposal that seeks its own aesthetic path based on the most intimate experiences.
