Program

‎Pepe Reche, performer and researcher, will help us explore Brahms’ ‎Piano Concerto No. 2, one of the greatest works of all time in the piano repertoire, and also ‎Schubert’s Sixth Symphony, nicknamed the ‏‎Little C major. It received this name‎‏ ‏to distinguish it from his Ninth Symphony, which is also in C major, which, in turn, became ‎known as the Great. It is a sweet, symphonic wonder, influenced by his much-‎admired Beethoven and Rossini. The two pieces will be conducted by the acclaimed ‎orchestra conductor Simone Young.‎
