Program

Once again, L’Auditori offers an extraordinary concert open to all citizens next to the sea.

The Barcelona Symphony Orchestra under the baton of its principal conductor, Ludovic Morlot, and the Orfeó Català, accompanied by great Catalan voices such as soprano Serena Sáenz and baritone Josep Ramon Olivé, and international voices as recognized as mezzo-soprano Rinat Shaham and tenor Freddie de Tommaso, will offer a concert that will be an ode to the anthems of major sporting events and will include pieces as appreciated by the public as the last movement of the Ninth Symphony by L.V. Beethoven, the aria Nessun dorma from Turandot by G. Puccini, O’Fortuna by C. Orff. In addition, soprano Serena Sáenz and singer Arnau Tordera will perform the legendary theme Barcelona, composed by Freddie Mercury for Montserrat Caballé and the 1992 Olympic Games.

A More Inclusive Edition of Clàssica a la Platja

Attendees with reduced mobility and those with special needs will be able to enjoy the concerts from a reserved or accessible area located on 15 Passeig del Mare Nostrum, in front of the Desigual building. This year, this accessible area has been quadrupled in size (16 x 4 m) and is located in the best spot for the entire concert.

In addition, through the Immersive Live System, attendees with deafness or hearing impairments will have access to fifteen vibrating backpacks* and individual induction loops. This service will be supported by a professional whose second language is LSC (Catalan Sign Language).

*Vibrating backpacks with a tactile bass system are devices that are worn on the chest or back and convert sound frequencies into vibrations. They allow the connection of an individual magnetic loop and are designed for deaf or hard-of-hearing individuals.
