Once again, L’Auditori offers an extraordinary concert open to all citizens next to the sea.
The Barcelona Symphony Orchestra under the baton of its principal conductor, Ludovic Morlot, and the Orfeó Català, accompanied by great Catalan voices such as soprano Serena Sáenz and baritone Josep Ramon Olivé, and international voices as recognized as mezzo-soprano Rinat Shaham and tenor Freddie de Tommaso, will offer a concert that will be an ode to the anthems of major sporting events and will include pieces as appreciated by the public as the last movement of the Ninth Symphony by L.V. Beethoven, the aria Nessum dorma from Turandot by G. Puccini, O’Fortuna by C. Orff and the legendary theme Barcelona, which Freddie Mercury composed for Montserrat Caballé and the 1992 Olympic Games.
