Program
Martín Leiton Big Band is a project which was conceived in Barcelona’s live music scene, and brings together some of the most outstanding and well-known performers together with some interesting new talent.
The group was formed to perform music by Martín Leiton, written and arranged for big band by the man himself. His musical offering is based on the traditional big band formation (4 trumpets, 5 saxes, 4 trombones, guitar, piano, double bass and drums), but he uses it to produce music influenced by diverse sounds available to his musicians and their audience from around the world, such as African-American music, folklore, ethnic music and of course jazz.
