Program
Final of the 12th Miquel Llobet Barcelona International Guitar Competition. The three finalists will play works for guitar and string quartet, choosing between “El lenguaje del río” [The Language of the River] by Lleida composer José Antonio Chic and “El jinete azul” [The Blue Horseman] by Cuban Eduardo Morales-Caso. At the interval, the audience will vote for the entrant whose music they most enjoyed.
Special performance by the Barcelona Guitar Orchestra, one of the world’s top guitar ensembles. Conducted by guitarist and composer Sergi Vicente, this concert will feature renowned guest performers.
The winner of the Audience Prize will be announced at the end of the concert.
