Program

Ferran Fages, guitarist, composer and improviser, will première Detuning series for guitar, a series of pieces for the electric guitar and sinewaves. The work, devised for a single performer and based on changes in tuning the instrument, generates different sound situations through the acoustic phenomenon of the beats: the interference between two tones with slightly different frequencies.


Luis Tabuenca (Zaragoza, 1980), percussionist, composer and improviser, performs Solos, a compilation of four solos for percussion. Three of these were inspired by engravings from the Caprichos series by Aragonese painter Francisco de Goya, and the fourth is a reflection on memory. The programme is completed by one of the most representative solos for percussion of the 20th century, written by Vinko Gobokar.
