With the support of GoES travel and Worldstrides International, the Peninsula Youth Orchestra from California will be performing in Barcelona.With 80 musicians directed by Mitchell Sardou Klein it has been rated the finest youth orchestra in the state. Winner of numerous awards, it has toured widely, performing in venues as far afield as Sydney, Normandy and Budapest.
The orchestra will be performing a number of little known orchestral works, including an overture by a contemporary composer, which is unknown in this country, and a suite for a Russian film by Shostakovich.
