Dona Gospel Choir and Apropa Cultura Choir
Program
The Apropa Cultura Choir is made up of professionals working in social action and education, a group with clear common and professional interests which, in the context of singing, have been given a space to be developed and where personal and professional experiences can be shared. The choir started in 2014 at L’Auditori, and from the outset has been led by conductor Josep Prats.
The Dona Gospel Choir started in 2016 as part of El Lloc de la Dona, an organisation which works to promote the holistic development and empowerment of women facing social exclusion. They are supported through training, which starts with language learning and continues with employment training, and whose ultimate aim is social and professional integration. Choir members are of Nigerian origin and are proud to showcase their vocal talent in front of an audience.
The concert is a joint effort with the two choirs performing together on stage at L’Auditori.
