When the Marx brothers went for a night at the opera, they turned everything upside down. We intend to do just that, bringing together choruses from famous operas (Carmen, Nabucco, La Traviata, etc.) and popular songs from the short zarzuela performances known as “género Chico”, such as La verbena de la Paloma (The Fair of the Dove) and Luisa Fernanda. As usual, we will be accompanied by two soloists and an instrumental ensemble, with arrangements by Daniel Garcia and staging by Ignasi Tomàs. The conductor is Montserrat Meneses.
