Salvador Brotons offers a taster of the musical cuisine of the time with profound (Ravel), celebratory (Debussy) and popular works (Bizet and Thomas). The virtuosity of Ukrainian violinist Ala Voronkova acquires a touch of colour with one of the most difficult works written by Navarran composer Pablo Sarasate, the Fantasia on themes from French opera par excellence: Bizet’s Carmen.
