First concert:
The Swedish violist Ellen Nisbeth brings us the first concert for Women Composers’ Day in collaboration with the Mixtur Festival. She will perform a programme of works for viola and electronics by contemporary composers, together with the Mixtur Festival.Nisbeth, winner of the Nordic Soloist Prize, is one of the most prominent emerging soloists on the international classical music scene. With a particular focus on new creation, Nisbeth presents a programme of six world premieres in which the instrumental potential of the viola is put to the service of new-creation music. Selected as a ‘Rising Star’ by ECHO (European Concert Hall Organisation) for the 2017-2018 season, Ellen Nisbeth has debuted in the leading concert halls of Europe and has performed as a soloist with orchestras such as the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, Norwegian Radio Orchestra and the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra.
