Veus – Cor Infantil Amics de la Unió is a choir born in 1996 created within the Choral Society Amics de la Unió de Granollers. Conducted by Josep Vila Jover since its formation, this choir of white voices stands out for the quality, eclecticism and uniqueness of its productions.
Veus – Cor Infantil Amics de la Unió has participated in numerous international festivals and has been awarded in outstanding contests and competitions. Among the most recent awards, we must highlight the Clavé Award for the best recording album Els Colors del Mar (2018), the Guido d'Arezzo award (2017), the First Prize at the 47th Certamen Choral in Toulouse (2015) and the Silver Rose Bowl of the EBU competition Let the Peoples Sing! (2013).
The choir published several works, the most recent of which are Revolution (2019), Els Colors del Mar (2018) and VEUS (2017), recordings of the successful shows of the formation. Also, noteworthy are Un Barret de Cançons (2016) with songs by J. Vila i Casañas and Un Conte de Nadal (2014) by Albert Guinovart. This season, the choir will perform with the Escolania de Montserrat a work for double choir commissioned by the prestigious composer Bernat Vivancos, with a concert at the Basilica of Montserrat and the Palau de la Música Catalana.
