Serena Pérez, a native of Gijón (Asturias), graduated from the Professional Conservatory of Music in her hometown and Oviedo. She continued her education in Amsterdam, where she completed her advanced degree in Vocal Performance at the local Conservatory, and later pursued postgraduate studies at the Dutch National Opera Academy, obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in Opera. During her training, she participated in various opera productions in both the Netherlands and Spain, showcasing her talent in works such as Monteverdi’s “Orfeo” (Hope), Puccini’s “Suor Angelica” (Abbess), Massenet’s “Cendrillon” (Haltière), Britten’s “The Rape of Lucretia” (Bianca), Mozart’s “Così fan tutte” (Despina), and Handel’s “Radamisto” (Radamisto).

She has been recognized in various competitions, notably winning the Maestranza Theater Prize at the International Singing Competition Ciudad de Logroño, which allowed her to make her debut in the production of “Agrippina” directed by Enrico Onofri. In 2021 and 2023, she participated in the first Baroque Academy of the Granada Festival, collaborating on the production of “The Fairy Queen”.

She made her debut at the Oviedo Opera House, portraying roles such as the Second Lady in “Die Zauberflöte”, as well as Mercedes in “Carmen”, Orfeo in “Orfeo ed Euridice” (Lyrique Festival en Mer, France), and Clotilde in “Norma” (Oviedo Opera House). Recently, she took part in the production of “Dolce Cenerentola” in Oviedo, a family-friendly show where she performed arias from Rossini’s “La Cenerentola”. She also made her debut at the Spanish Lyric Theater Festival in Madrid last June.
