Austrian soprano Miriam Feuersinger discovered her love of singing as a child, completed her studies with honors under Professor Kurt Widmer at the Music Academy of the City of Basel and is now one of the leading sopranos in the field of German baroque sacred music. Her great passion, both musical and content, are the cantatas and passions of J. S. Bach and the music of his contemporaries and predecessors. In 2014 she created the Bachkantataen in Vorarlberg series, dedicated to this repertoire.
Miriam Feuersinger is a regular guest in concert series such as Bachstiftung Trogen (Switzerland), All of Bach (Netherlands), Bachakademie Stuttgart (Germany) and the musical evening at the Predigerkirche Basel (Switzerland), as well as festivals such as Bachfest Leipzig, Bachfesttage Köthen, Thüringer Bachwochen, Musikfest Stuttgart, Händelfestspielen Halle, Tagen alter Musik Regensburg, Barocktagen Stift Melk, Musica Sacra St. Pölten, all in German, as well as the Bachcelona Festival in Barcelona, among others.
She collaborates with renowned musicians such as Hans-Christoph Rademann, Václav Luks, Philippe Herreweghe, Rudolf Lutz, Ton Koopman, Christoph Prégardien, Sigiswald Kuijken, Reinbert de Leeuw, Peter Dijkstra, Leo McFall and Shunske Sato. She has also worked with ensembles such as Collegium Vocale Gent, Freiburg Baroque Orchestra, Collegium 1704, Holland Baroque, Capricornus Consort Basel, Les Cornets Noirs, La Cetra, Kammerorchester Basel, Symphonieorchester Vorarlberg, Concerto Stella Matutina and L'Arpa Festante, among others.
Awards such as the German Record Critics' Prize 2/2014, the ECHO Klassik 2014 (for her CD with cantatas for soprano by Christoph Graupner), the Ö1 Pasticcio Prize 5/2017 and a double nomination at the OPUS Klassik 2022 distinguish her trajectory. In 2019, Miriam Feuersinger was named an honorary member of the Christoph Graupner Society, with whom she enjoys a special bond. In 2020, she founded the Vokalwerkstatt M31, a space for personality and voice in Bregenz.
