After graduating in singing and lied at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC) with the highest honours, receiving the prize of honour for her final project, she was nominated for the best musical actress award in 2007 and 2011, and won the Premis Butaca critics’ award. She has sung at venues including the Musikverein and the Theater an der Wien, the Verona Arena, the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, the Philadelphia Opera, the Gran Teatre del Liceu, L’Auditori, the Palau de la Música Catalana, the Palau de les Arts, the Salle Gaveau and the Maison de la Radio in Paris, the Teatro Real, the Teatro de la Zarzuela and the Auditorio Nacional, in works conducted by Afkham, Pons, Heras-Casado, Marriner, Bolton, Antonini, Onofri, Dantone, Corti, Biondi, Paul Daniel and García Alarcón, among others. On stage, she has worked with Xavier Albertí, La Fura dels Baus, Comediants, Francisco Negrín, Robert Carsen, Kasper Holten, Lluís Pasqual, Lluïsa Cunillé and Rafael Villalobos.

Her recording career includes performances with Gabriel Garrido, Cappella Mediterranea, Forma Antiqva and Ottavio Dantone, three Baroque zarzuelas conducted by Pablo Heras-Casado for Harmonia Mundi, a DVD of La Salustia (Pergolesi), 3 CDs with the Orquesta Barroca de Sevilla, as well as numerous recordings for RNE, BBC Radio, Radio France and ORF.

Recently she has been seen in two leading roles at the Teatro de la Zarzuela: the wife in the world premiere of Tomás Marco’s Policías y ladrones and Lucrecia in José de Nebra’s Donde no hay violencia, no hay culpa. She has also appeared in the world premiere of Agustí Charles’ Andròmeda encadenada at the Palau de la Música Catalana and later in Darmstadt, the chamber opera Mariana en sombras, and concerts with Cappella Mediterranea and the Orquestra Sinfónica del Vallès at the Palau de la Música, as well as the show La Caramba with Forma Antiqva in Santander and Dubai.  Forthcoming commitments include her return to the Musikverein in Vienna with Concentus Musicus Wien and to the Palau de la Música with Bach Collegium Barcelona, a tour of France with guitarist Eduard Iniesta and the role of Zdenka in Strauss’s Arabella at the Ópera de Oviedo.
