Born in Olsztyn (Poland), she studied under the direction of Artur Milian and Magdalena Szczepanowska. She completed her studies at the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw and received advice from violinists such as I. Ozim, V. Klimov, P. Amoyal, Th. Brandis or R. Totenberg.

She has been awarded in several competitions such as the Tadeusz Wronski (Special Mention), the Lodz Chamber Music Competition with the Tutte le Strade Piano Quintet (1st prize) and twice in the Maria Canals Competition in Barcelona.

She has performed concerts in Europe and the United States. She has performed in venues such as the Auditorium of the Society of Music and the National Philharmonic in Warsaw, the Palau de la Música in Barcelona, the Rosalía de Castro Theatre in A Coruña, the Richelieu Amphitheater at the Sorbonne in Paris, the Paul Recital Hall of the Juilliard School in New York or the Ballroom of the Palau de Lancut. Kalina Macuta has also performed as a soloist with the Andorran Chamber Orchestra, the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine, the Sant Cugat Symphony Orchestra and the Eduard Toldrà Chamber Orchestra.

Since 2002, she has formed a stable duo with the pianist Daniel Blanch. This formation has performed, with great success, numerous performances that combine works from the international repertoire with quality music by little-known Catalan composers.

Kalina Macuta has published eight disc recordings, a good part dedicated to the recovery and dissemination of Catalan musical heritage; she has recorded sonatas for violin and piano by Beethoven, Brahms and Bartók with Daniel Blanch, the Doppio Concertino by Carlos Suriñach with the Warsaw Symphony conducted by Jacek Kaspszyk, Miniatures Catalanes which includes works by 25 different Catalan composers and the complete work for violin and piano and the Concertino for violin and orchestra by Joan Manén. She has recently contributed to spreading the work of Lluís Benejam with a disc that includes the complete sonatas for violin and piano.

In 2002, she was the third concertino of the Aalborg Symphony Orchestra (Denmark). She is currently part of the Symphony Orchestra of the Gran Teatre del Liceu de Barcelona.
