Made up of Taghi Akhbari, Nâder Aghakhâni and Julien Lahaye, the Delgoshâ Ensemble was born out of their shared passion for Iran's musical tradition.

Taghi Akhbari is known as one of the most eminent performers of classical Persian singing. Simultaneously trained in lyrical singing and Persian sacred singing, the technical neatness of his singing combines with a deep sensitivity, which has led him to perform on numerous renowned stages.

Formed by the great master Dâriush Talâi, the târ player Nâder Aghakhâni draws from his own experience, marked by a long study of the Radif, as well as having had a Sufi grandfather, and thus endows the ensemble with a mystical atmosphere that becomes real in his interpretation.

Regular collaborators, Taghi Akhbari and Nâder Aghakhâni have obtained the Diapason d’Or in 2009, for their participation in the album Les Laudes with the Doulce Memória ensemble.

The formation is completed by the French percussionist Julien Lahaye, recently awarded the Prix des musiques d’Ici 2021. Spellbound by the richness of music from Iran and other parts of the Middle East, he has received lessons from Madjid Khaladj, Djamshid Chemirani and Kâveh Mahmudiyan to specialize in Iranian tombak drum. His performances around the world have contributed to enriching his palette, now at the disposal of the Delgoshâ Ensemble.

Ensemble Delgoshâ proposes a refined art, transmitted orally, which opens a door to the legacy of Iran's collective memory. Transcending the spectacle dimension, it seeks to establish a close relationship with the public in each new performance.
