He was born in Málaga where he had great contact with vocal and choral music, acquiring knowledge from his grandfather, Luis Díez Huertas, a great connoisseur of historical religious polyphony and founding director of the University Orfeón de Málaga. He completed his musical studies at the Málaga Conservatory of Music with the highest qualifications. Likewise, he has conducted the vast majority of symphony orchestras in the country, such as the ONE, Madrid Symphony, OBC, Granada City Orchestra, Málaga Philharmonic, Balearic Symphony, Castile and Leon Symphony, and Madrid Community Orchestra and Choir. In 2021, he made his debut with the RTVE Orchestra at the Teatre Monumental in Madrid.

Since 2010, he has been the music director of the Film Music Festival, where he carries out a task of disseminating and defending cinematic symphonic music. In 2013, and after a long casting, he was personally chosen by producer Cameron Mackintosh to premiere and direct the official Spanish tour of the musical Les Misérables

In 2019, he made his big screen debut with the composition of the music for Urubú, Alejandro Ibáñez's feature film. For this work, he won the prize for the best Original Soundtrack at the prestigious Grimmfest awards. That same year, Arturo was chosen by Antonio Banderas as musical director of his new project A Chorus Line, a musical starring Banderas himself, whose first production became an unprecedented resounding success at the Soho Caixabank Theater. Likewise, Arturo is the main conductor of the Soho Pop Symphony, recently created thanks to the artistic concern of Antonio Banderas and designed by him as a resident orchestra of the theater.

At the moment, Arturo is directing in Madrid the Stephen Sondheim's musical Company, with Antonio Banderas as the protagonist, in a production of the Soho Caixabank Theater.
