16-Mar-2020 – Aleix Palau

In compliance with the new raft of measures to contain Covid-19 issued by the Generalitat de ‎Catalunya and with the state of emergency declared by the Spanish Government, ‎‎L’Auditori has extended the cancellation of its events until 29 March. The ‎cancellations due to this new information will affect L’Auditori’s programming. ‎

The concert by the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra and the Mariïnsky Theatre ‎Orchestra conducted by Valery Gergiev on 28 and 29 March, performing An ‎Alpine Symphony by Richard Strauss, will now not take place. ‎

The same applies to the concert by the Barcelona Symphony Band on ‎Sunday, 29 March, that was to be led by the prestigious conductor Isabelle Ruf-‎Weber.‎

As part of the Chamber Music season, the concert by the ‎‎Benedetti Elschenbroich Grynyuk Trio, scheduled for 29 March, is also ‎affected.‎

With regard to the programming by L’Auditori’s Servei Educatiu (Educational ‎Service), the Pica-So family concerts on 28 and 29 March have ‎also been cancelled. This production was due to travel to the Philharmonie de ‎Paris on 4 and 5 April, but the French concert hall has also halted its programme for ‎the coming weeks and the Pica-So concerts and activities in Paris have therefore ‎been cancelled.‎
