The exhibition, a collaboration between the Pau Casals Foundation and the Museu de la Música de Barcelona, aims to offer a closer insight into the orchestra's history and its impact on the world of music, while also upholding the importance of Pau Casals as one of the 20th century's major conductors.
The exhibition can be visited at both the Museu de la Música de Barcelona from 24 November and at the Museu Pau Casals in Vendrell from 1 December . It features objects and original documents from the Pau Casals collection, owned by the Pau Casals Foundation and held at the Catalan National Archive, and from collections held at the Biblioteca de Catalunya, the CEDOC (Documentation Centre of the Orfeó Català), the Gran Teatre del Liceu and the Photographic Archive of Barcelona, amongst others, reflecting the orchestra's tireless activities during the course of its history.
