New Year’s Eve is synonymous with fun and humour, social rituals, a time of party clothes and perfume. New Year’s resolutions can wait; there will be plenty of time to start on a list. This uninhibited spirit fills a dazzling programme of Russian music.
Sessions and tickets
Tchaikovsky’s Festival Coronation March and the classic ballet from the story The Nutcracker will kick off the party, which will then continue with some of Shostakovich’s more humorous compositions, more specifically his Tahiti Trot, an arrangement of Tea for Two, a song from the Broadway musical No, No, Nannette, which is now a jazz staple.
The puppet company Per Poc, which can look back on over twenty years of artistic creations and which aims to make culture accessible to everyone, premieres a show based on Francesco Cesarini’s music based on the story Puss in Boots. We will watch and hear the tale of a cat who cunningly gets his master to marry the king’s daughter. A very appealing concert for the whole family.
