Program
Annual series of music sessions by students from ESMUC and other music colleges. These are open rehearsals using instruments from the Museu collection which have been restored so they can be played again, allowing musicians to hear the sound and understand the technical aspects of historical instruments.Instruments from the collection featuring in the programme include; Isaac Albèniz’s Rönisch piano (ca. 1905), guitars by José Pagès (1806), Simplicio, Yagüe and Ramírez, Rickenbacker electric bass (1981), Couesnon & Cie French horn (1924) and the Contreras violin (1741), amongst others.
The performance’s intimate format enables spontaneous dialogue with Museu visitors. The instrument, the performer and the audience all benefit from this close and personal musical event.
