Program

The first of the Schubert Lied concerts this season will be performed by the ‎mezzo-soprano Marie Seidler and the pianist Joseph Middleton.‎Started in the 2017-2018 season, this focus dedicated to Schubert’s lieder will allow us to ‎discover, over three seasons, a major part of the composer’s works through the voices of ‎young Spanish and international talents that represent the future of the genre. Schubert Lied ‎is organised by L’Auditori de Barcelona in co-production with the Associació Franz Schubert ‎and the Centro Nacional de Difusión Musical.‎
The first concert will be performed by the mezzo-soprano Marie Seidler and the pianist Joseph Middleton. Seidler graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in London with ‎honours and was an award winner in the International Hugo Wolf Academy Competition and ‎also won the Trude Eipperle Rieger Prize. She currently holds a scholarship from the Richard ‎Wagner Association and the Britten-Pears Young Artist Program and is a member of the ‎Stadttheater in Giessen. Her versatility permits her to cover a broad repertoire ranging from ‎the Baroque up to the present day, with sacred music, opera and lieder.
