VALENTINA DÍAZ-FRÉNOT
She has performed for radio and television and in concert halls in Argentina, Bolivia, Paraguay, Spain, France, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Yemen, Chile, Nicaragua and Costa Rica.
As a soloist she has performed with the Argentine National Symphony Orchestra, Santa Fe Symphony, Teatro Argentino Symphony of La Plata, Radio France Philharmonic, Baden-Baden Symphony, Strasbourg Collegium Musicum, Resident Orchestra of the Teatro San Martín de Tucumán and Asunción Symphony Orchestra. Conductors she has performed with include Washington Castro, Simón Blech, Isaac Weinstein, Pedro Ignacio Calderón, Jean Pierre Jacquillat, Pierre Dervaux, Gianni Rinaldi, Jean Paul Penin, Luis Szarán, Dominique Fanal, Diego Sánchez-Haase and Jeff Manookian.
From 1995 to 2013 she was the director of the Diapasón School of Music.
In 1999 she recorded a CD with Chilean flautist Alejandro Lavanderos of the works of contemporary composers.
In 2002 she recorded a CD of piano works of Paraguayan contemporary composers, which was a collaboration between the Vice Ministry of Culture, Alliance Française and French Embassy.
In November 2002 the French government honoured her with rank of Officer of the Order of Arts and Letters.
In 2003, she recorded a CD in Berlin with German violinists Goetz BERNAU of the works of Dvorák, Schubert, L.Szarán, R.Giménez and Brahms.
In 2005 she released a double CD of the Iberia Suite -Navarra by Isaac Albéniz recorded at the Siemensvilla in Berlin. The CD was presented in September 2006 in the Teatro San Martín in the city of San Miguel de Tucumán, Argentina; in March 2007 in the Juan de Salazar Spanish Cultural Centre in Asunción, Paraguay, and in April 2007, in the Auditorio Amijai, in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
In February 2006 she was invited to perform in the 18th edition of the Heidelberg Piano Week in Germany. In June this year she appeared at the Borges Cultural Centre in Buenos Aires, for the second International Meeting organised by the Research and Musical Creation Network of the Americas (RICMA). In November 2006 she was invited by the University of Costa Rica and the National University of Colombia to perform and hold master classes. In May 2007, with the auspices of the French and German Embassies in Nicaragua, she performed a recital in the Rubén Darío National Theatre in Managua.
In September 2007, she performed a series of four concerts with commentaries on Impressionist Music with the auspices of the French Embassy and Alliance Française in Asunción.
In 2008 she made her London debut at St. James’s Piccadilly, performing as a guest of The Iberian and Latin American Music Society (ILAMS).
She performed as a soloist with the Asunción Symphony Orchestra for a concert season and has accompanied other soloists including the violinists: Goetz BERNAU, Lucio DEGANI, Norberto GARCIA, and the soloists Alceu REIS and Cruz Taylor Almao.
In recent years she has performed in different musical settings in Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil, also in Heidelberg, Paris, London, Berlin, Brussels, San José in Costa Rica and San Juan in Puerto Rico. In January 2017 she will be on tour and performing in Barcelona, Brussels, London and Paris.
She is currently the head of the Paraguayan Music Council.

VALENTINA DÍAZ-FRÉNOT
A graduate of the National Conservatory of Music in Buenos Aires and a former student of Roberto Caamaño, Valentina Díaz Frénot epitomizes the Argentine Piano School.
Amongst the many international awards she has collected, those which stand out include awards from the Spanish competitions of Jaén and Santa Cruz de Tenerife, for her interpretation of Spanish music and in France the Gabriel Fauré special prize for the best interpretation of the works of the French composer at the Marguerite Long International Competition.
