L'Auditori Digital will become L'Auditori Play and it will be free of charge from August

From August, the concerts broadcast by L'Auditori Digital will be free of charge, and the platform will have a new name: L'Auditori Play. This initiative is part of L’Auditori’s on-line strategy, intended to make its programmes and culture in general accessible to wider audiences.

The sixty concerts that can currently be enjoyed on the L’Auditori Digital platform will be available to everybody. Users will only need to register on the platform to be able to enjoy concerts by the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra and the Barcelona Symphonic Band, performances by soloists such as Xavier Sabata, Núria Rial and Nicola Benedetti and conductors including Juanjo Mena, Ludovic Morlot and Dani Espasa, as well as jazz, pop and electronic music.

In addition to concerts, there will be interviews with members of the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra (OBC), conversations with the composers of works performed at L'Auditori, and a range of recordings made for L’Auditori’s digital record label.

The existing catalogue will also keep growing, as new works are added. Another change is that concerts will no longer be streamed; they will be recorded in order to offer better quality than ever before.
