Program
Pepe Reche, performer and researcher, will help us explore Brahms’ Piano Concerto No. 2, one of the greatest works of all time in the piano repertoire, and also Schubert’s Sixth Symphony, nicknamed the Little C major. It received this name to distinguish it from his Ninth Symphony, which is also in C major, which, in turn, became known as the Great. It is a sweet, symphonic wonder, influenced by his much-admired Beethoven and Rossini. The two pieces will be conducted by the acclaimed orchestra conductor Simone Young.
