Program
Jordi Savall, Le Concert de Nations and the Capella Nacional de Catalunya present two of the most famous, celebrated works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. In their own way, each of them is testamentary. The first is Symphony No. 41 in C Major K. 551, his last symphony known as "Jupiter" and the culmination and highpoint of Mozart's symphonic works. The second is the mass from Requiem in D Minor K. 626. This living testament to the composer is always enveloped in mystery and legend (as far as you wish to take your flights of fantasy) since its completion was tragically interrupted. It is a work guaranteed to inspire terrible and also enthralling moments, while also bearing witness to the Salzburg virtuoso's contrapuntal skill.
