Program

Les col·laboracions de Moncho amb Los Ángeles, una formació de músics cubans, culminen en l’estrena del nou espectacle de Moncho on repassa en clau cubana, clàssics de la música llatina, alguns del seu repertori i d’altres a estrenar. Moncho is as well loved in Cuba as he is in Catalonia. Jorge Reyes, Changuito, Abel Marcel and Osmany Betancourt are Los Ángeles, a band of Cuban musicians combining veteran styles and tradition with the avant-garde music made today in Cuba. The participation of the « King of Bolero » in the quartet’s first recording, called Cosas nuestras in 2009, and the sporadic gathering of all of them on the stage culminated in the first performance of Moncho’s new show in the Auditori following the bolero singer’s golden wedding. A further step in his long artistic career, in which the singer goes through classics of Latin music in Cuban style, some from his habitual repertoire and others prepared to be performed for the first time at the Auditori. To make it rounder and tastier, he is accompanied on stage by maestro José Luis Cortés, El Tosco, and the emerging Telva Rojas.
