The evolution of great piano music at the hands of Danylo Saienko, winner of the 2015 Maria Canals prize. A journey through keyboard music from Bach, to the great Schumann and the mature sonatas of Beethoven; from the originality of Scriabin to the extreme difficulty of Ravel’s Gaspard de la nuit, which was first performed in Paris by Ricard Viñes (Lleida) in 1909. A considerable challenge for a young talent.
