The soprano Maria Callas is considered one of the most famous opera singers in the world. She combined her extraordinary bel canto technique with her amazing theatrical talent, earning her the name of ‘the Divine Voice of Opera’. She was incredibly versatile and capable of singing whatever she wished. Callas never imposed any limits on her art or music. She also came under the international spotlight for her relationship with the Greek multimillionaire and tycoon Aristotle Onassis, who finally married Jacqueline Kennedy, an event echoed in all the gossip magazines. Callas led the world ranks as an opera singer. She was a brilliant, temperamental, highly determined diva.
