SCHUBERT LIED IV

The final concert in the Schubert Lied series presents us with German baritone Ludwig ‎Mittelhammer and American pianist Jonathan Ware. Mittelhammer trained at the University ‎of Music and Performing Arts in Munich and was awarded first prize in the International Hugo ‎Wolf Academy Competition, the special prize for the best performance of a song by Goethe ‎in the Felix Mendelssohn Competition as well as the Bavarian Art Prize. As a soloist, he has ‎already debuted with some of the most prestigious orchestras in Europe, such as the ‎Orchestre de Paris, the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra and the Munich Radio Orchestra. He ‎will be accompanied by celebrated pianist Jonathan Ware, who was also awarded first prize ‎alongside Mittelhammer in the International Hugo Wolf Academy Competition, in addition to ‎the Pianist’s Prize in Das Lied International Song Competition and the Wigmore Hall/Kohn ‎Foundation Song Competition.‎
