Program

Spanish oboist Lucas Macías –a soloist with the Concertgebouw Orchestra– and the soloists of the Mozart Orchestra perform a concert with Baroque works for oboe.

During the last 10 years of his life, Claudio Abbado was the Artistic Director and inspiration behind the Orchestra Mozart Bologna that sought to build a platform for young musicians of international prestige. This concert clearly demonstrates that the great Italian conductor achieved this with resounding success. Spanish oboist Lucas Macías – soloist of the Concertgebouw Orchestra – was invited to the Orchestra Mozart by Abbado. Today, the soloists of this Italian orchestra, with Lucas Macías on oboe, present a concert with Baroque pieces for this instrument.
