L’Auditori de Barcelona celebra Santa Cecília amb la il·lusió de tornar a obrir les seves portes la setmana vinent

23-Nov-2020 – Aleix Palau

Today was Santa Cecilia’s Day, the patron saint of musicians. As always, L’Auditori de Barcelona joined in the festivities with initiatives aimed at bringing music to all kinds of audiences.

This year, coinciding with such an important date as this and with the reopening of L’Auditori de Barcelona to the public next week, a 20% discount was introduced for concerts in December. The discount for these concerts will be available from today through to Sunday 29 November.

This special offer heralds a December filled with famous names. Jordi Savall’s return to the stage, the presentation of Mireia Farrés and Mercè Hervada’s CD, Lina and Raül Refree’s new take on fado, flute-player Emmanuel Pahud as the OBC’s soloist, and the Barcelona Symphony Band’s Christmas concert are just a few examples of what you will be able to enjoy in the coming weeks.

L’Auditori de Barcelona will continue to offer live performances on L’Auditori Digital, which now has over 2,000 subscribers. It will also be reopening its doors to the general public on 4 December and to schools on 1 December.

Itsevents in the presence of an audience will recommence on 1 December with productions for schools of Ma, me, mi Mozart! and The OBC Dances Ravel as part of L’Auditori’s Educational Project, provided that restrictions are lifted. Likewise, on 4 December, it will be the turn of Lina & Raül Refree as part of the Sit Back cycle.
