22 November is the feast day of Santa Cecilia, the patron saint of music, and L’Auditori is celebrating with a variety of discounts and activities spanning this weekend and the next few days until Christmas.
One of the most interesting activities is the open day to be held by the Museu de la Música from 10 am to 6 pm on Friday, 22 November, which will provide a unique opportunity to enjoy one of the best collections of instruments in Europe.
The first activity of the Friends of the OBC season will take place on the same Friday, when members of the Orchestra club will attend a rehearsal of Béla Bartók’s Bluebleard’s Castle, meet the conductor Josep Pons and make a toast to celebrate the start of the season.
All this will be supplemented by 25% discounts on the price of tickets to the following concerts: 2001: A Space Odyssey, Carmina Burana, Beethoven’s Triple Concerto, concerts by the Casals Quartet, Bach’s St John’s Passion featuring Jordi Savall, the family show Maaambo!, and a concert by the vocalist Cécile McLorin. These discounts will be available until 6 January. In addition, you can get a 25% discount on tickets to the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra’s concert with Mariss Jansons until 24 November.
