In compliance with the new raft of measures to contain Covid-19 issued by the Generalitat de Catalunya and with a state of emergency decreed by the Spanish Government, L’Auditori has extended the cancellation of its events until 29 March. The cancellations due to this new information will alter L’Auditori’s programming.
The performance of Richard Strauss’An Alpine Symphony on 28 and 29 March by the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra and the Mariïnsky Theatre Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Valery Gergiev, will not now take place.
The same applies to the concert by the Barcelona Symphony Band on Sunday, 29 March, that was to be led by the prestigious conductor Isabelle Ruf-Weber.
As part of the Chamber Music season, the concert by the Benedetti Elschenbroich Grynyuk Trio, scheduled for the 29 March, is also affected.
With regard to the programming by L’Auditori’s Servei Educatiu (Educational Service), the Pica-So family concerts on 28 and 29 March have also been cancelled. This production was due to travel to the Philharmonie de Paris on 4 and 5 April, but the French concert hall has also halted its programme for the coming weeks and the Pica-So concerts and activities in Paris have been cancelled.
