La Quinta Estación, the Spanish group that has triumphed in Mexico, will be landing in the Auditori to give a concert with the songs from their new record, El mundo se equivoca.
La Quinta Estación (Natalia, Pablo and Ángel) with their own compositions such as Algo más, El sol no regresa, Daría, Niña and Perdición, amongst others, have reached top places on the radio and achieved extraordinary sales in Latin America and the United States.
La Quinta Estación arrives with a curious story behind it. They started a few years ago in rehearsal premises in Madrid, until it was proposed that they might make a record in Mexico. The album was called Primera toma and was heard as a musical theme for a children's television programme, and this is how they got known in Mexico and started to build up successes. On their own merit, they won a place and showed that their name deserved respect.
After reaching the radio Top Ten and entering the cinema world with the song of the film Dame tu cuerpo, they brought out their second record, Flores de alquiler, in which the music achieved very positive results and Natalia's voice is impeccable, more mature and educated.
As La Quinta Estación lived for more than a year in the federal district of Mexico and went round the whole of the country, it might be said that Flores de alquiler is a homage to these lands; the influence of the Mexican culture on their music is obvious.
The next step for the band was an important challenge, to get known in Spain. The song El sol no regresa opened the doors for them and they began to take part in festivals and to give concerts around the Peninsula. They achieved success and recognition through the numerous awards that bear witness to their talent. In later 2005, the band brought out Acústic, which contains some of their successes in acoustic versions recorded live.
This is how the «emigrants of music» have gained a large place on the musical stages of Mexico, Spain and Latin America. After a path full of successes, La Quinta Estación has published its latest record El mundo se equivoca, with which it is triumphing once more.
