Last season, the Barcelona Symphony Band, in collaboration with Apropa Cultura, created a ‎series of weekday morning concerts specifically devised for elderly people who are ‎dependent on others or in a vulnerable situation.‎

In this edition from La Banda ens Apropa, which begins on 9 October, audiences will be able ‎to enjoy three popular programmes that focus on the themes of film music, New Year and ‎great song classics:‎

Concert with informal sessions
The norms relating to noise and movement in the hall are more relaxed than usual and ‎there ‎may also be slight adjustments in the lighting, sound, etc. to increase the‏ ‏levels of ‎comfort ‎and well-being for all kinds of public. These types of sessions are aimed at individuals ‎and ‎families who prefer or enjoy a more casual atmosphere, thereby reducing anxiety levels ‎and ‎making the whole experience better for everyone (families with children, people with ‎Alzheimer’s, with autism, ‎etc.).‎

‎ Lights, Music, Action ‎
The first programme in the La Banda ens Apropa season presents a selection of some of the ‎best-known film tunes of all time. Cinema and music have always gone hand in hand. The ‎melodies remind us of endearing characters that accompany us everywhere; and the films ‎remind us of the melodies that now form part of our collective imaginary.‎
