The Emergents Music Festival, showcasing emerging talents, kicks off at L’Auditori with the JONC (National Youth Orchestra of Catalonia) and the young pianist Hiroo Sato, winner of the Maria Canals Prize in 2016.This music festival, showcasing emerging talents, kicks off at L’Auditori with the JONC (National Youth Orchestra of Catalonia). In its second edition, Emergents continues to show off the best national and international emerging musical talent. The JONC, a project that gives maximum expression to the finest musical talent in the country, will start the Festival with a Russian programme, including Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 6, “Pathetique” and Scriabin’s Piano Concerto with the young pianist Hiroo Sato, who has trained in Japan, Berlin and Moscow and was the winner of the Maria Canals Prize in 2016. He also won the Richard Vines Prize (2015), besides numerous awards in Japan.
