The ‘Lark’ Quartet, one of Haydn’s most well-known works, along with Beethoven’s Quartet No.1 commissioned by the Russian count Razumovsky. Prokofiev’s Quartet No. 1, with its energy and lyrical exaltation, is a real trial by fire for any chamber ensemble. A true demonstration of the interpretive skills of the Jerusalem Quartet for the enjoyment of the audience.
