In a recent interview, Gergiev explained that Barcelona was one of the cities in the world where he had conducted more times and where he most liked doing it. Mahler’s Fifth is one of his favourite symphonies. Daniil Trifonov is already a celebrity and the most acclaimed young pianist in the world. Valery Gergiev has been the great mentor of Trifonov’s career and they will offer us one of the great piano concerts in the repertoire: Rachmaninoff First. Many synergies that come together to offer Ibercamera audience, what will undoubtedly be, one of the biggest concerts of the Season.
