L'Auditori adds new music to its traditional cycles dedicated to early and chamber music. Our programme of concert series and festivals reflects our mission to be a plural institution with a strong public profile.
L’Auditori presents a season inspired by the extensive musical legacy of this German genius. Ludwig van Beethoven’s humanist calling, the classical spirit of his initial composition phase, the depth and universal nature of his musical ideas and the radical formal exploration of the final stage of his creative career reveal an unquestionable musical modernity rooted in tradition.
Two weeks of unique concerts featuring top artists in historical locations around the city of Barcelona, who will shed light on forgotten scores from the past.
The cultural project Barnasants, Cançó d’Autor [Barnasants, Singer-Songwriter Music] was born with the aim of boosting the singer-songwriter genre, embodying the spirit and values of the Nova cançó movement and sharing it with the younger generations so that it may serve as a connection to previous generations and encourage people to share and listen to it.
Barcelona, flamenco city par excellence
The evolution of this musical genre would not have been the same without this city. In Barcelona, unique historical events have taken place that have marked the history of flamenco, the best artists have performed here and the city has witnessed the emergence of leading figures in the art of singing, guitar playing and dance. All year round, Barcelona graces its citizens and visitors with a wide range of shows of this genre. Indeed, very few cities in the world have such an extensive flamenco programme as Barcelona.
