Flamenco, post-rock and poetry, in the most striking combination of the year with Niño de Elche and Toundra.EXQUIRLA is a project that emerged from the coming together of two seemingly opposing yet complimentary musical identities, that of vocalist and multidisciplinary artist Niño de Elche and Toundra, the experimental rock band from Madrid.
Their first album, Para Quienes Aún Viven (For Those Still Alive)(Century Media/Superball Music) brings together the best of both worlds: the experimental rock and intensity of Toundra and the a-typical flamenco and outside the box singer Niño de Elche. The tracks on the album are inspired by poems by the writer Enrique Falcón, yet have their own identity.
The group came together almost accidentally, when the two artists were on the same bill at a festival in Cadiz. Thanks to their mutual fascination and admiration this musical journey began, the result being perfect symbiosis.
